Splat tag pump tourney

I was looking at Splat tag's schedule of events for 09' and noticed that they listed a pump tourney for June 21st. A couple of guys I play with and I each picked up a VSC Phantom over the winter and are interested in the tourney.

I was just wondering what kind of field it is going to be on? Is it going to be on the Urban course, an airball field, or in the woods?

Should be fun, im going to be trying to play a decent amount with my pump so i can rock it at some big games and pump days.

Splat Tag has held monthly Pump Games every 3rd Sunday of the month for the past 6 years. (April-Oct.)

Pump Tournament will be for fun.
3 Player teams.
Teams will be formed by pulling names out of a hat.
Field is not set yet, it's up to the players. I am guessing Urban.

So we draw for teams... Thats interesting. Whats the reasoning for that? And what format is it going to be? Woodsball? URBAN!!!!

the reason is to keep it fun.

random draw tournies keep people happy. Since you might get a **** team or a rocking team everyone just has fun. No one comes in thinking they've built a dream team and getting pissed when they don't win.

and yes Darrin - urban. that field is great for pumpin'

You should have a normal tournament too. If the teams are determined by a draw then it is not really a tournament but more like a 3 man walk on.
Sounds like a fun day none the less but real tourneys are fun too.

Well don't think of it as a competitive tourny but a fun one. I think that a pump bragging rights tourny sounds like a nice break from all the competitive ****.

That would be a deffinate possibility. There are getting to be so many pump players now that it'd be great to have some more events for them. I think our team might deffinately be up to hosting a tourney I'll run it by the guys to see what they think.
