Just thought it would be interesting to see if anyone was getting new gear for the 09 season. Our team will have jerseys this year!!! they are at the printers as you read this and hopefully in our hands in the next 2 weeks.

I just got some new shoes (got tired of being exhausted and sore after running all day in boots) I ordered some new pants today too

I really like my locklids for woods play. they are lager so you have more paint with you and if you set up in your pack correctly you have pull themout and have your thumb on them everytime, with a little practice they are quite a bit faster then regular pods.

I got mine today to. They are huge compared to my Tippmanns!!!!!!! adjustable straps my a** the pocket bungee cloth is definitely a plus!! I was wearing mine around the house today also till I noticed they are a magnet for cat hair!! Now I have to get matching gloves and tank covers....it never ends.

You got a rotor? Personally I don't see what the big hype over them is all about, sure they can feed fast, but with caps set at 10bps you hardly even need a Velocity or Halo.

I like em just cuz you can strip them down in a matter of seconds not to mention there are no screws so you could do it on the field if you had to. there are other fields that dont have 10 bps cap.

He didn't buy it for the speed. The thing strips down crazy fast which is very nice if you have ever made hopper soup. And just because it feeds up to 40bps doesn't mean you have to set it that high. I have a Halo V35 and a Magna, both of which feed at 35bps. I have my Halo set at 17 and my magna RF'd so it will feed as fast or as slow as my marker shoots. Just because a hopper feeds faster than you need doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it. You honestly aren't going to find too many newer hoppers that feen below 25.
If he wants a rotor, then he can buy a rotor. If you don't think there is any need for it than don't buy one, nobody is holding a gun to your head telling you you have to. A guy with a 98 could tell you your PM6 is overkill because it shoots faster than 10 bps. So by your logic he would be right, correct? But I know you probably didn't buy your PM for speed, you bought it because it was a good quality dependable marker. Just my opinion.

i think with most people the issue isnt about speed with the rotor, but about whether it is reliable or not. I never buy gear right away, give it a few months to make sure there are no bugs with it then you just feel safer dropping big bucks on something.

Sometimes opinions should be kept to ones self, especially when they are basicly critisizing someone else or what someone else did, i.e bought a rotor.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, it just seemed like you were telling him he was wasting his money, which would be ok if you owned the product and knew it was bad. However you don't own the product so your statement seemed a bit offensive, at least to me, and since scott is a team mate I will give speeches for such actions.
No hard feelings though, I am just expressing my opinion on the matter.

the thing about the rotor is that it is consistent like you wouldnt believe..... even at a slow rate of fire you can tell a huge difference between taht and other hoppers, also not having to worry about it breaking or wondering if you ahve all the screws and suff like that, its also smaller and lower compared to other hoppers but holds the same amount of paint (doesnt hold 200, more like 187) when Dye designed this they went with the KISS method and it shows, this thing is completely idiot proof, you cant screw up settings or anything and unless you break over half the balls in your hopper this thing will feed and feed and feed

if your looking for an 08 ego you might want to check with air assault first too, sometimes they have some pretty stellar deals but i havnt checked on their prices in a while.

I was just up there yesterday and I think their SHS 08's were down to $800? They were $100 less than they were, I just don't remember what they were.

SHS (Super Hero Series) They are special eddition for AA, they are mostly brighter, bolder color patterns Yellow/red, red/blue. They are the same as standard 08's just different color. The black web one looks pretty sweet but I don't remember seeing that one at the store.

Just the colors and stuff I think. SHS is the Super Hero Series I think. So like one of the Ego's that they have has a spider web on it, and others have other super hero themes.

EDIT: didn't notice that slickassasin had you covered.

But the trade off is supporting the local store. Air assault is a great thing to have in this general area (even though its a little over 2 hour drive for me) and i would hate to lose it.

Whats ANS? $800? Idk, i personally would rather buy from a local store and let them take the extra cash, plus if you pick it up local your not really dealing with shipping costs. Give them a call, they might have used 08 egos or some regular ones to.

Yep, I have had some issues with AA in the past, not gonna go into that. But, I'd rather buy there and at least keep them around, then buy online and lose another PB store/field in our area. Plus, those web patterns just seem totally badass to me, and I really really want one now...

I'm hoping I can get my car back from the shop and drive down to the cities this weekend to pick one up.

They start at $799 and go up to $849 at ANS. The thing with ordering from ANS (and I'm not trying to take business away fron AA) is you pay $849 cut and dry. $849 puts it at your doorstep. With AA you pay $850, then add 50+ for tax which puts it at $900 then another $25 or so for gas to drive up there and back. If you are sold on the web pattern than deffinately go with AA, but for me personally, Id rather save the $75-$125 if I was going with a standard color.
If you do go up to AA be sure and call them first to make sure they have the web pattern in the store because I don't remember seeing it on saturday (maybe they had them in back or something).
Either way, you are going to love your ego!

There is always SCP in River Falls/Hudson too. I just talked to Brad (the owner) today and he said it has been really slow.

He has a really sweet A-5 decked out as a SAW in there right now toodribble:)

There are more then plenty fields in the state, but they all really vary so greatly in quality, and most don't have a big retail store associated with them (from my experience). Its so touch and go.

You should get your G3 annoed white to match your barrel!
I think I am going to send my ego in to get annoed white. I just don't know when I will not want to use it long enough to send it off.

Got it used off the nation, I'm assuming the guy had an all black to start with and traded for the fern accents. Because I have not seen any sold as black/fern new, they're all grey/fern.

I think the black and green look pretty damn sweet together!

NO, you want an ego. The Geo is a spool and really not that much like an ego (easy to clean, easy to maintain). If you are going with a spool you should get a DM. I'll show ya how easy my ego strips down and you'll want one just for that.

Don't care about football, lol, and no one can argue your teams achievements to ours there.
As for more lakes, thats true, but your dept of natural resources doesn't have a system of classification and recording in place, ours does :D (worthless knowledge from knowing people going to school for natural resources stuff)

Indoor field is meh to me, I just go rather then shoot myself in the head from lack of play.

I just for some reason felt the need to share some worthless knowledge and my opinion, lol. Either way we got the best damn states!

if your right handed make sure you turn those pods so the tab is facing to the left if your looking at the picture.... that way when you pull them your thumb is naturally on the button, makes for faster loading

ya know what I like best about this gun......the trigger........I started off playing with it and was able to sustain about 8-9 bps, now I though maybe its just cuz i'm not that great at walking my trigger....so I played around a little more with the trigger setup and now I can keep it at 11-12 bps:D..........now my left hand....laughing:) thats another story laughing:)

I'm right handed, but for some reason I always seem faster with my left... I just capped mine at 10 BPS (I think...) lol to save myself some paint

yeah mine is capped at 12 so I guess it could have been faster.

Play around with the opto sensor fire point and you can get the rof a lot higher. I can sustain at 10 pretty easily with one finger. Right or left I can do 15, guess I haven't really tried higher than that.
Also, if you guys are using the sensor (Stock setting) not the switch, turn the switch screw out far enough that it doesn't activate the switch. That way you won't put the wear on your switch while you are using your sensor.

No problem. The only thing that I really changed on mine were trigger settings and rof, otherwise egos work best with stock settings.

Kinda what I was thinking they'd be, I'll prolly change the ROF friday night before just to make sure they're set right. I'll check out your trigger to see if I want to tweak it like yours is, trigger settings are always a lil different to me. But, like you said I should make sure I don't wear out the microswitch if not using it.

i picked up quite a bit of gear this year too.
Dye DM5, Halo B, new air tank to go with it, and a 14" stiffi. and as always some more clothing (seems i do that every year) i picked up those fusion pants and jersey from special ops, does anyone have these? I havnt been able to try them on yet because im still in iraq for a little longer.

Its like my birthday/christmas/easter/4th of july present to myself. that works right? wish the fiance understood...

I'm new to paintball (only been out 4 times) and have been going to Northside Sports in Ramsey. I will finally be trying SplatTag for the "Black Hawk Down" as well as the GBG.

I picked up an A5 as well as a Proto SLG (love this one). Pretty much bought all the gear and a new Dye hopper for the SLG. All I need now is a decent pair of waterproof shoes, anyone have a suggestion as to where? Also, I'd like to "pimp out" the A5, any suggestions as to decent, inexpensive mod kits and their websites?

I've had my G3 for about a year now. I think it is so flipping awesome. Super light! Trigger has a little side play tho. I put in the new APE board, SWEET.
However, when my son shoots it he has trouble with paint breaking in the feedneck. I tink it is just a result of his hopper, which is a Fasta. My V-junior never has any problems.

The trigger does have alittle but its nothing huge. I like the APE board the Se comes with but I wish it was a microswicth

Don't waste your money. It will still only be a A-5. They work great when they are stock, but once you do one thing to the internals your going to be building a whole new gun.

the RAP 4 cyclone upgrades are good if you get an E-grip, and the HE Egrip is a good choice if you want to spend the extra money, otherwise one of the cheapest things to do (and on of the best possibly) is to get an X7 hopper because it lowers your profile alot
