Ace's High and some friends are up to something for Hunt For The Cure. 300a:)

I know what it is beret:)

The non-fiction may be a bit much though, because unless it actually happened (past tense), then it can't be nonfiction news.

Thank you for the compliment, WC. The BB and I are honored by it. That still doesn't cover over that damned "diplomatic mission" from last year, though. 300a:) I would have escaped safely just like Foster did if you hadn't made me stop. Still, I had more fun walking into Coa's base as a prisoner and acting like I owned the place than I had all morning up to that point.

And I wasn't talking smack, I was stating facts. I have been able to glean a great deal of usable information from your loose chatter. I (and others) have scoured dozens of web sites and forums for detailed Intel on your teams and you really don't have any clue what we have in store for you. Your own General, the esteemed AKA, has said as much.

Blissful ignorance may provide you with some momentary comfort from the impending storm, but it will do little when the hailstorm is upon you..

Thus it is said that one who knows the enemy and knows himself will not be endangered in a hundred engagements. One who does not know the enemy but knows himself will sometimes be victorious, sometimes meet with defeat. One who knows neither the enemy nor himself will invariably be defeated in every engagement.

As for your fantasies about seeing 50 Elite (and you are right to call them that) Badgers cowering in fear from your shadow passing through the woods, perhaps one of the refs who witnessed a single Badger (White Spider) holding Paris against three waves of Marines a couple years ago would care to share their account of the event. If a single Badger kept approximately 50 Marines at bay for the better part of a half hour, 50 Badgers might well be enough to take over your Godforsaken state... not to say that we are really into the notion of owning mud puddles, mosquito infested swamps and second rate football teams. re:)

AKA, does the Pelican Brigade have a patch? Last year, Foster and I exchanged patches and I would like to continue that tradition with you this year. As I have told you in the past, I have been reading up on you and your organization and I am impressed to say the least.

I can't wait to meet you on and off the field.

I'm just going to add my own opinion that is an addendum to Sun Tzu:

You do not truly know someone, until you have fought them.

You've gone against most of us, but not all. They may surprise you (and they may even surprise me).

Now, returning to the generic crowd of everyone here:

My only other comment is that this whole thing is spiraling out of control beyond friendly rivalry, and I will have no part of it outside of that same old friendly rivalry.

I guess everyone has their own idea of "friendly".

I am not personally offended by anything GW or any of the mercs have directed towards me or my team and I hope GW and the rest of the mercs don't feel like I am trying to insult them personally. Competition is competition, people shouldn't be getting their feelings hurt over this kind of stuff.
The people going back and forth obviously don't mind it or they would stop. This is just paintball, we're not actually trying to kill each other.

My Coalition brothers,

GW is trying to change the focus with his posts. Trying to take our focus from winning missions to silencing GW.

Don't let him do it!

This game won't be won with boasting, Art of War quotes or trash talk. We will win with our skill, with our tactics, and with our focus.

AKA and I are proud and honored to lead the Coalition, and we look forward to briefing you Sunday morning.

To Victory!

To the mercs: I looks forward to our epic battle. Good luck.

And to my Coalition Brethren: TO VICTORY!!!

Pre-registration for the Hunt for the Cure is closed now.
You guys will have to register at the game for $45.
I have some figures to share with you all.

Here are the pre-registration numbers for the last 4 years.

2005 – 30 pre-registered players

2006 – 46 pre-registered players

2007 – 57 pre-registered players

2008 – 98 pre-registered players

2009 - 275 pre-registered players!!!!!
All hype & smack-talk aside, I'd like to thank you for participating in this event. Thank you for taking the time to register. It makes it easier & faster for us (and you) at check-in. Thank you all for having so much enthusiasm for this game.
Thank you for caring.

To show my thanks, here's your map.
http://www.wildbunchpaintball.com/himages/Hunt2009.jpg
This year the entire field represents a Medipharmatronics production facility.
We've kept the river.
If you go under the blue tapeline, you're dead. Go back to base.
We will have the deadmans bridges in between the actual bridges to avoid eliminated players from clogging the action.
We didn't include them on the map however to avoid confusion.
The center (Blue) bridge is hardened, reinforced concrete & cannot be destroyed by any means.
You can print out, laminate, whatever you want with these. Every player will receive a half page map & days schedule in their player packet regardless.
The first 500 players will also receive a I.D. Badge, 5th anniversary patch, and lanyard (A REAL lanyard, Darrin, not the cheesy string like last year! :o)
Once again, thank you all so very much!

Respectfully,
Burt "Brutis" Peterson
Captain, Wild Bunch

Well this is my first post but I gotta tell you all that I am big time looking forward to fighting against all of you Merc's. This is my first HFTC and I chose the Coalition simply because one must fight for justice not anarchy.

Anarchy: "Absence of government; a state of lawlessness due to the absence or inefficiency of the supreme power; political disorder."

GW and the rest of the Merc's, is this what you choose?

Obviously you believe only in yourselves and NOT what is for the greater good. Your time is about to come to an end. Enjoy your honorable intentions on the battlefield but when push comes to shove you and your rag tag "army" will be left either dead or running back to your holes that you call home.

(p.s. I am so stoked to fight alongside and against all of you. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to have fun and at the same time contribute to such a worthy cause. Truly this is an honorable endeavor. God bless!!)

Yes, you are a newb. Who says my organization has anything to do with anarchy? Are you confusing the Mercenaries with Envision Anarchy? Did you bother to actually read the storyline or are you just spewing to hear yourself spew? If I am unimpressed with chest thumping coming from the accomplished leader of an experienced Scenario team (Bunker Butthead), what makes you think that anything you say will elicit anything more than laughter?

Mondo Mor, please stop pointing out my PsyOps to your players... you're spoiling my fun. ;)

AKA, Foster and I made promises to each other last year that neither of us would use the patch given to us to misrepresent ourselves as being members of "the other side". I would make the same promise to you.

Thalion... chill out, big guy, it's all in fun.

Slick @ss@ss'n, Bunker Busser and the rest of you... nothing you have said has offended me in any way. Not even the ghostpuppy comment. I actually laughed the first time I saw that.

The only thing that matters is that we all have a good time, play honorably, avoid injuries and raise lots of money for HDSA. At the end of the day, we're all paintballers and that's cool.

The following is a work of FICTION. It is neither news, nor a reflection of the world's current affairs. It is merely provided for players who want a bit more insight into this years' Hunt for the Cure storyline.

The office of the Medipharmatronics CEO was on the top floor of one of Budapest’s tallest buildings and offered a breathtaking view of Buda Castle and the Banks of the Danube. Rich Gruber, the inhabitant of this perch, was viewing the morning news from a large plush leather chair while drinking his morning tea as the Forbes reporter entered the room. “Welcome, please take a seat,” he remarked as he turned off the replay of John Q. Public, the leader of Envision Anarchy, latest statement.

“I appreciate your availability for our story on the recent success of Medipharmatronics,” thanked Gill Kupka as he took in his surroundings and joined the CEO. “The past year has been very good for your company, despite no end in sight for The Global Depression.”

“Early on we made significant investments in our company and koolamula fern production, which put us in some heavy debt. We knew we had to build a solid foundation to grow from,” outlined Rich Gruber to the reporter as he took a slow sip of his tea. “Looking back now, I only wish we had invested more; especially in the cultivation of the koolamula fern since their short supply is holding us back. We have only started to dent the worldwide demand for koolamula derived products, with many untapped markets clamoring for them.”

“Your fortunes really received a boost after Envision Anarchy’s chemical attacks across the globe,” started Kupka before being cut off.

“Even before our folks discovered an antidote for the Envision Anarchy’s agent we were having a very good year. For instance our natural remedies product line, which includes our koolamula fortified teas, was seeing record growth,” explained the CEO as he stirred his own tea.

Kupka however, was not to be deterred from his line of questioning. “You have to admit the antidote breakthrough was quite quick and fortuitous. So much so that sources within the N.S.A. are suggesting there might be some connections between Envision Anarchy and your company. They claim to have evidence of high levels of communication between them and you.”

Calmly Gruber reminded the reporter, “The powers of the koolumula fern are quite extraordinary and our researchers and facilities are some of the best in the world. It all goes back to what I was saying earlier with our previous wise investments in research resources. In regards to the American accusations, it is just more in a long history of propaganda to belittle what we have built here. The Coalition nations made similar disparage remarks, which proved untrue, when they unsuccessfully tried to take the koolamula from us by force years ago.”

“Has Envision Anarchy contacted you at all,” further questioned Kupka, “even in the form of blackmail threats that other multinational companies have reported receiving? A number of corporations as a result have sought out protection from their governments as a result or paid Envision Anarchy to leave them alone. Will you do either?”

After a quick chuckle and a lingering smile Gruber responded, “No. Besides, I do not think we have anything to worry about from Envision Anarchy. Our security forces are more than capable of handling anything they may attempt. If our security forces can turn back the combined forces of the Coalition nations, well…” he paused and smiled again while shaking his head, “I think we are fine. Also, I believe that our thirty minutes is up and I have an important conference call I need to get on. I hope you got what you wanted for your story,” he asked while standing and motioning Kupka towards the door.

As the heavy door closed behind the Forbes reporter, an assistant’s voice rang from the intercom on the ornate oak desk across the spacious office. “Sir, a John Q. Public is on the line for you? Should I patch him through?”

*assumes character, for one last time*

You sound surprised.

I'm not. It's simple how conspiracies work. They need profit, so they generate artificial demand with Envision Anarchy.

The last time I served with the Coalition in avenging the death of a great leader, they refused for politics, bureaucracy, and other ludicrous reasons. No more.

We'll help the Coalition defeat Envision Anarchy and the Mercenaries; as long as the Coalition is willing to accept that wars are not won by being politically correct. Do what's right, even if it's not politically expedient or convenient.

That is all.

Mercenaries - The former Coalition government let you go. I pray the current one will not. But mark my words, with or without them, you will see me out there, and I will not let you go.
