rouge nation, add a squad of 75 half way threw the day to the feild with their own insertion point
nukes, hide nuke parts on the feild if a team is able to complete their color nuke then the general can take out a entire feild or the reinsertion for a whole reinsertion the other team whats longer
their will be more when i come up with them recon:)

I like the nuke parts scattered and needing to be assembled, and the rogue team adds some interest (perhaps consisting of a few scenario teams?)
I'd suggest this replace the system of "buy the nuke strike with Darrin Dollars" for destroying bases. Assemble your nuke, and be allowed to launch it once to kill all in one base and make the area unusable for one half-hour.
Replacing the "buy a nuke" purchasing option, I recommend an "artillery strike" which would eliminate all players in the vicinity of the fort (within 25-50' ? Choose a reasonable number). After all players have been removed from the vicinity of the fort on their way to insertion, the artillery strike ends and the fort can be immediately taken (in theory, artillery does not leave radiation or other reasons to stay out).
If I come up with more ideas, I'll add them.

It would be nice to see this year at the summer Giant Game is better team separation. Along the lines of the sponsored teams anyways. Instead of a being a completely one sided event like it has been for like the past two or 3 years. I remember last year it was like Wild Bunch, us, Identity Crisis and maybe another team or two on the red team, and I think it was just the Militia on the other. Darrin made my guys switch teams before noon. Thats how bad it got at one point.
Darrin I really think you should put some thought into which sponsored teams should be paired up together to make the event as even as possible. I mean if it was my first time coming to a giant game and the whole day is a about struggling to get past my home base/reinsertion point I don't think I am going to have too much fun.
When you look at the attendance for the past two years for the Giant Games its been slight getting less, and I am just speculating at this point, but the past 3 years its just been a slaughter fest for one team. Maybe this is shying people away from this?
Another thing is the walking to the reinsertions. Yeah I admit I am a lazy *** along with my team. We purposely put our campsite to the side of the field with the least walking distance to the reinsertion point. The one side of the field is great, just a walk up the hill and your there. The other side in which you have to walk past all the vendor tents UGH! It as damn hike! Esp if you are parked on the other side of the parking lot you are really probably looking at a mile walk just to get to your reinsertion. Is there anyway to fix this? You took out the close reinsertions last year. Can you put them back?
What about that big Military truck you got, can you at least use that as a transport? That would be cool way to do that.
Okay I have more to put in about this years game but I am at work... lol... I will put more up when I get time

What if we hid coupons on the field that allow you to do something special set up by Darrin. Like if you found a coupon with a picture of a Double Trouble and it allows you to take charge of the double trouble in one of the tippman towers for 20 minutes! Or you get to mange the turret in one of the sponsored tanks!
How cool would that be for a first timer? They find a coupon and then they get to do something like that.
Thats it for now

2008 I will personally pick what side/color sponsored teams will be on.
And I will probably stack the deck a little for the MN Militia, they worked their butts off last year and did a great job.
Many other issues have been fixed after last Junes GBG including Terminators and a few other things!
Giant Big Game XIV will be Bigger and Better.

If I remember right, didn't the original user have some serious technical difficulty with it? Some form of feeding issue I believe.

I think your right. If I remeber correctly it was gravity fed from the container on his back down to his markers. I think if he could find a way to turn it into a giant warp fed system, I would like to think that it would have all the components needed to work.

MayhemBrando posted a picture of Der Verteidiger (http://undergroundmodshop.com/forums/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=3419), created by the guy who runs UndergroundModShop.com (http://undergroundmodshop.com/).
Looks like the problems are detailed here (http://undergroundmodshop.com/forums/vBulletin/showthread.php?p=38310#post38310).
It turns out that the clamps on the hoses had compressed the cyclones into an egg shape and wouldn't allow the ratchets to turn...D'oh! bangh:)

I met the guy that makes those, down in Oklahoma in 2006. Nice guy. He wanted to use that the day of the big game, but got denied because Dewayne Convirs said it wasn't period correct to have such a contraption. Oh well... beret:)

Bummer... oh well, I'm stupid enough I wouldn't back down from that thing, even if all I had was a knife. But that's just me...

Knowing you^^^ I could see you doing that. Also you (Darrin) have at least 2 ATVs out there you could hook some trailers to those and have them drive out to the reinsertions. Also have 2 parking lots one for red and one for blue (each closest to their respective reinsertion points and as they come in ask which team they want to be on before they park or work out some kind of system.

Great idea in theory, but that'd be a logistical nightmare in practice.
I think that one's going to be skipped for now.

I agree it would be a nightmare for walkin BGs. If GBG every grew to say 1000+ people per game then, like some bigger scenarios have preregister team assignments.
