It debuted at OK DDay, it's fairly heavy but has some cool features. has an air efficiency mode, I was told by Bob Long's daughter that it is capable of getting 2 cases of paint off of one 68/4500 fill. also reported to be capable of 32 bps.

How'd I miss this? I must have walked by their tent half a dozen times and never saw it.

Not really a fan of that vert. foregrip and bipod rig, but the idea is good. We're starting to see a lot more milsim made that aren't just another blowback design, and that is progress and good for all.

Off topic - any word on what actually happened to Bob Long out there? Rather, how did he break two ribs in 30 seconds of gameplay this weekend?

anybody know about the internals on that gun. It kinda looks like just a stacked bolt design, which is not what I would expect from bob long.

EDIT: I found out what it is -- it's a Bob Long Marq dressed up to look like an AR-15 style gun.

if that is true then why does it have a cocking handle on top?

No idea. I got my intel from the Spec Ops forums.

M-TAC supposedly stands for "Marq Tactical" from what I've heard there.

So far, I have yet to be able to find Bob Long's website, so I can't give a more official answer than that.

It really can't be a stacked blowback and meet the claims Mustangman reported the Bob Long people said (that, and it wouldn't be like Bob Long to do it).

The cocking handle is the on and off switch. The foregrip, stock, light, bipod, and $1000 ACOG sight don't come with the gun, thats just how they dressed it up for the debut. I have pics of the gun in stock config, but I can't dig them out now. It will retail for $950 and $825 (pretty sure, might have been $925 and $850) for the full size and shorty versions. It will do 32 bps and has the Marq efficiency engine built in. Its got all fire modes you could want, and eyes. Bob said it should be available in a couple weeks. Its got the same internals at the Marq.

As for hurting himself, he charged off the landing craft in the first wave and dove into a grassy depression that happened to have a huge rock. Broke 2 ribs and dislocated his shoulder he said. Kept playing till he was shot, reinserted, and played for 2 more hours before he went to the hospital. Hardcore.
