On the same day it clinched a playoff spot the Wild won its third straight, 3-2in OT when Marian Gaborik scored his franchise-record 40th goal! How about it eh? If the wild can keep it up for two more games they look to have a good spot in the playoffs.
Anyone following it?
GO WILD!
Hell yes! Go Wild!!
I drive shuttle bus for home Wild games downtown Saint Paul.

I hope the wild do well this year in the playoffs. Its about time we have some talent on the ice again!!!
Foster

Talent indeed!
Nobody on the wild gives as much, shift after shift, then Brent Burns. JL called Miko "the face of the team" and he IS a huge part of it...But Burns is that guy that just makes s#!t happen.
The game is on tonight at 7PM!

9:00 PM tinight Wild @ Colorado!
The series is tied 1 to 1 so this roadtrip is a huge one. If the Wild can sweep the 'Lanch out there it will bring the chance to win the series at home in St. Paul.
LETS PLAY HOCKEY!

Tell me about it.
Being in MN it is tough to hold on for a win...We are conditioned to EXPECT our teams to blow it in the end. I truly believe that untill Gabby leaves the western, the NHL will continue to do anything in its power to keep this team down. I am starting to feel like one of those guys who wear tin foil hats, the refs cant be THAT dumb...can they?

Ya refs are ridiculous. It didn't help that it was a late game and I was screaming really loud at about 11pm.

:mad:BOTTOM LINE...WE DIDN'T COME TO PLAY. We probably should've stayed home and practiced. Probably would've done us more good. But the series is only 2-2. We are still in good shape. We just can't have a repeat of last night (game 4).:)

Now that we are in the first intermission I thought I would pop on and say hi. I had to laugh a little at the commentators during the first period.
"A first period goal!?!?"
"Whats that?"

Oh well, if they keep the team, and make a few improvements the Cup could very well be ours.

Yeah, I got the double whammy Sat. night. :character0051:
We saw the Swarm loose there 1st home game at the X, and the Wild loose the playoffs across the street at the viewing party.
*Puts on kevlar suit & enters the bomb shelter*
I did find myself cheering on the Stars in there duck hunting home match last night. I would love to see it come down to The Stars & The Redwings.

I am not a wings fan, but the Stars are ok in my book.

I look at it this way:
If the Stars could win, I could honestly say that they earned it.
If the Redwings win, I can say...Yeah, Duhh?

Friday is the LAST home game of the season.
It is vs Chicago...who we spanked hardcore last time. Swarm games are a ton of fun, lots of music and smack talking over the PA. Come to think of it, they have this deal there where if you text a message & accept the $2 or $3 charge...They will display your message throughout the game on the side screens. I see "happy bday so and so" & other one liners all game long.
Hmmm...
