8 teams will no longer be sponsored by Splat Tag after this month!
Any Team that wants to be sponsored by Splat Tag in 2008 please read!
Sorry guys but I got a call from my accountant and things do not look good. I gave away to many prizes in 2007.
I have to cut back on the sponsored teams, from 10 down to 2.
I know this is going to piss a lot of people off but it's better then going out of business.
All 2007 Sponsorships will be honored through Arctic Blast Game March 30. But all Sponsorship are up April 1 and will be reviewed and re-newed on a team by team basis.
Splat Tag will only be sponsoring two teams this year.
To make it fare we will be holding a Potato Sack race at the Arctic Blast game to see who Splat Tag will be Sponsoring for the 2008 Season. I thought this would be a fun and fare way to pick the two teams that Splat Tag can afford to sponsor this year.
Any player rostered on a team in 2007 can enter. If we have more them 20 people competing we will brake it down in to heats with a final race to decide first and second place.
New teams can compete as well.
Splat Tag sponsorships are private and will only be discussed face to face with team Captains. I will be back in MN Mar. 20 if anyone has questions.

I hope you get t all fixed back to normal, none of us want you to go out of business. Your field is the absolute best ive ever been at. haha your the only reason ive been able to really play. Thank YOU!
O.K I have stopped crying now and thought I'd let you know that we are all still behind you in all your decisions. We will continue to play with the pride of the Splat-Tag name and will always promote and patronize your business. We all know that the times are tough and alot of us ourselves have had to adjust to the changing times. We would never be pissed about the adjustments or changes in how you have to run your business. Darrin, we've played together many years and I know you wouldn't do anything unless it was necessary. You have and keep on doing more for local paintball than any field I know of, we want you to keep it up. However, to do this you must keep the business end up too and the adjustments need to be made. You know I'll support you no matter what as I'm sure most players that have ever played your fields. BY the way, you don't have guns parts older than me.:rolleyes:

I have to make the cut at 2 sponsored teams!!! I am pulling no favorites.
Team can have as many players compete as they want.
The two fastest people will get their team sponsored by Splat Tag.
Race will be a 1pm
Arctic Blast starts at Noon.

These are pictures from Thursday. The driveway out there is 6" of ice with ruts and potwoles. I do not think cars should try to drive back there yet.
Arctic Blast starts at Noon. As of now no HP.
Race is going to be moved indoors after the Actic Blast. Games end around 4pm. Race will be 5pm at a location 2 minutes from field. More info on that with be given out at the game.
All 2007 sponsored players/teams should plan on being out to atleast 6pm.
I will be giving out Thank You Ribbons to all the teams that will no longer be sponsored in 2008.

Thanks to the 95+ people today that showed up and played some great games. Still a lot of Snow out at Splat Tag.

This whole sack race thing had me confused from the start. I was thinking what the heck does a sack race have to do with paintball. I thought that a team playoff would be more reasonable but then again peoples' tempers would get out of hand. However, I did get a kick out of how teams were stratagizing at Arctic blast. I do wish that even though it was a joke, we still followed through with it because then we all could've seen whose stratagy was the best. It would've been interesting.tongue:)
