The Mekong Delta

You’re coming through the woods, hunting down the opposing force. However, dry ground ended and before you lies a raging river that no one in their right minds dare cross. Splat! Across that river is your enemy, shooting at you with everything they got. You’re playing a scenario game idea called the Mekong Delta.

Imagine your field is divided by a strip of land roughly three car lanes wide, as though it were a highway cutting the land in half. That will be your designated Mekong River, cutting you off from the other side.

At the start of the game, each team starts at opposing sides of the field, making sure they are on their own side of the river at the back of the field. When the game starts, they can rush as far forward as possible, until they meet the “river banks” for their side. No player can cross the river, but can go to the very edge of their bank. The idea is that all shots must occur across the raging river at the other side. To win, one team must eliminate the other side completely.

A variation of this game could be a treacherous bridge that connects both banks. Flags are placed at the bridge’s ends, and players must race across the bridge to steal the flag and bring it back to their side. Halfway across the bridge stands a referee holding a single dice and a plate. The player rolls the dice and determines his/her fate. An odd roll means the bridge broke and the player is eliminated. An even roll means they can cross and collect the flag, provided they aren’t shot in the process. Are you brave enough to conquer the mighty river in this game of chance?

Those are just some of the many scenario ideas I have. Many more are in my books. www.scenariopaintballbook.com (http://www.scenariopaintballbook.com/) if you want to check them out and order them.
