Most of the people that have been around here long enough know about the AKA Viking.

This 2008 season, the Viking gets to look a bit different...

From my experience of shooting this gun I have a few questions for you.

wouldn't this make the the gun heavier?
Why a q-loader the gun has eyes why a faster hopper?
isn't teheq-loader hard and slower to reload?

Everyone read this thread (http://www.minnesotascenariopaintball.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1674#post1674)please

Not significantly so, once you factor in the weight of any other loader you could be using. The balance is pretty nice with the HPA tank on-gun.

Mechanical system (no batteries :) ) and lower profile. Not to mention the speed is always an option if I need it (as rare as that may be).

isn't the q-loader hard and slower to reload?

Yes and No. It's not a "plug and play" system that anyone can use. It requires some set-up time before going to the field to fine tune it (how I spent this afternoon) and a little practice. The hardest part is reloading the qpods in the staging area to resupply, but I'm sure that I can pick up the speed on it with time.

My first attempt loading a qpod, I managed to smash several paintballs. Using that lesson, I cleaned it out and while I waited for it to dry off, I went and tried a second qpod. Perfect load, but took me a little while to load it up.

i had a qloader on my A5 before i sold it. now i am thinking about putting it on my Tac-one. i love the qloader, it's great, once you master the finer points.

The Q-loader custom loading system is not as difficult as it may appear. As a rep for the Q, I can say that most players do get the hang of it within a few minutes. Generally the hardest part about the Q is getting the feed system right, and being patient is a must.

A lot of players tend to shy away from the Q simply because they don't want to take the time and put in the effort to set it up properly, or they simply don't want to "waiste" a day by having a piece of equipment not work well while they are on the field.

Sorry, didn't mean to bogart the topic here.

I diggin' the Q.

Thalion? Have you tried loading your pods with an electronic loader? I was told to toss the silo as soon as you take it out of the box.... I'm sure you know Kodiak (Skooch I KNOW you know Kodiak...ha-ha...:D)

Yeah i use an egg mounted straight to my crank feed thingy. almost never get a space in the pod and it's quuuuuuuuuuick.

yeah man, ehopper is the key for the best loads. you still need to wind with a steady slow pace to make sure you don't get any spacing, but much better than trying to shake that big silo and trying to get the balls to feed down that tube.

Vander - Yeah I know Kodiak.

Using an agitated hopper to fill the pods is the most user friendly way. I use the Tippy SSL 220 hopper to fill my pods.

Thanks guys, that will probably end any of my current problems loading.

yes but it will also eliminate one of the reasons you switched. Becuase you would be using the same amount of battery becuase you're loading the same amount of paint right?

The main advantage is that if the loading system in the staging area loses batteries, it's not the end of the world. Further, I can always go back to the old silo if needed.

OO your talking about on field battery loss. I was thinking using batteries in general like have to buy them.

You can also use a regular old gravity hopper to load the Q-pods, but most people prefer to use the agitated hoppers so they can get the pods loaded quickly.

the best way to lode them is the q loader loadeing system pack thingy couple guys had them and thats what they used. they said it worked out the best for em
