I know I'm not the only one going through this, but I'm getting so dang impatient for winter to be over with and start moving onto the paintball season! What does everyone else do to pass the time until the season starts up? More important what does everyone do to stay in shape for the paintball season? I kind of got messed up with my back injury and I'm not even sure how much I will be able to play or if ever again. Well here's hoping, because even if I can't play I can still go out there and enjoy the atmosphere!

For me, I either write/edit/query to agents, or I play winter paintball.

As for what to do to stay in shape, either hit a gym, lift free weights at home, or take outdoor walks.

If you can't play paintball anymore because of your back, you can always referee, take photos, or sit back and defend the flag. beret:)

indoor fields, read about paintball stuff, check froums, computers games (counterstrike, battlefield 2), clean my guns.

sorry to hear about your injury man hope to see you on the battle field for 08. but if u cant play anymore i'm sure some tank will need a gunner for big games sniper:)

I hit indoor fields when I can.

Aside from that, I do shooting and reloading (whole new hobby to go with guns, making your own loads) with firearms. As for "staying in shape," I get a good amount of walking in @ the University of Minnesota but beyond that, I'm usually out of shape and I'll have a few bad days of paintball before I get back into it without being overly sore after.

Yes the winter blues posts! It is about time to vent on the down side of Minnesota Woodsball.:character0080:
Just like most of us waiting for the day to gear up and get the 'Ole adrenaline pumping again, I first of all continue with my daily workouts at work, up and down stairs and ladders all day, working inside and outside no matter how cold
it is. But when I get home I check out things on the PC, eat then call it a day. Now thats my workout to stay in shape.:D
I remember the days when I looked forward to winter, a long time ago. When I skiid, smowmobiled Mn.& Wisc. and trapped fur. But now I hibernate to the basement and work on some hobby stuff and my Paintball gear. Bowl on a Mens league and teach my young Grandkids weird behavior to take back to their parents.:D And play some winter Paintball when the temps hit 40*.
I'm a fairly new Nascar fan myself and I can't wait for them to start rolling again. Sorry to hear you have fallen prey to that back injury, but like the others have said, there is always something to do in Paintball without even putting on the goggles. A lot of kids are just dropped off by parents and left to defend for themselves and I'm sure guidance around the area would be appreciated by them and their parents. If you want to enter the Game, get yourself radioed and guidance in the field is also welcomed from teammates who are not and would like to go where their needed. Good post, I feel better now Thank-You./AKA

I want to thank everyone for some of these great ideas about how to stay involved with paintball. I have been having alot of ups and downs with this and been very depressed and not having some good thoughts, but lately I have learned to accept whatever hand is dealt to me and go on. Now with these ideas though it sure makes it even easier. There are alot of great people involved with paintball, and what has been said here really proves it! Today I'm very proud to say that I'm a paintballer, and I will be for the rest of my life! Thanks guys, your the greatest group of people I have ever known. But I still can't wait to recover from this and go out there and kick your butts! Thanks again, guys.

I play nerf with my friends but my parents are getting annoyed of 4 15yr olds running and jumping around the house shooting each other. Also I have soccer as a motivation to stay in shape. To fill the rest of the time I play video games and online games.

I'm starting to have that problem with indoor fields too.

It's just not the same as going to those scenario games or those monthly big games. It costs more and the community just isn't the same.

I'm almost tempted to risk going to Mission Creek this weekend to see if that event they scheduled on the MNPIG calender is going to happen.
