so I'm getting a pgp here pretty quick & I'm wondering a couple things...
1. are they ALL brass under the factory powder coat or only some of them??? if they are whats a good way to strip the coating off but not mess up the brass
2. they guy was saying the puncture pin isn't breaking the seal on the 12grams very well... is there a way i can adjust it??? or will i be searching for a new pin???
I'm sure ill come up with some more questions once i get it in my hands... thanks in advance for any info you guys can give me

I believe all PGPs (pgp 1 and II) are all brass under the powder coat. Some people take the powder coat off to get that nice shine.

If it doesn't puncture, you may need a new pin. Palmer's sells parts (http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=64&zenid=0c6b54fb33826512560980fd1335c842).
The 2000+ PGPs had a couple of plastic parts on the top tube, but the pre-2000 ones were almost totally brass and aluminum.
If it's an older (non-cartridge-valve) PGP, I've got the tool to take the valve assembly apart. I've rebuilt four of them now, so I can basically do it blindfolded.
OK, YOu need help, I have answers.
An older PGP will not have a powder coat per say, but more of a dye that can be remove very easy. Just start with real fine sand paper and work to 0000 steel wool. You will make it shin like gold.
The new PGP-2 is powder coated. I used a marine/aircraft paint remover from Menards, think made by Bix. Get a pair of chem gloves while your there, maybe 5 bucks for the gloves. Just brush it on, watch it wrinkle up and rinse it off under water, then buff and go.
Do you know how to tell the difference between the old school valve and the cartridge valve? If you need help to figure this out, PM me and Ill see what I can do.
Also, Palmers is good, but American Paintball (http://www.rcpaintball.biz/index.php)
is a good spot for all your Sheridan needs, plus he is in Rose City, MI, so shipping will be cheaper as well.
I love the PGP, and I tote one as well.

thanks for all the info so far guys
i figured as much with the stripper
as for the valve i have no clue... im pretty sure its one of the newer ones cause it is in fact powder coated but again i have no clue about this thing yet... im one that will track down & read EVERYTHING i can once i have it tho so no worries
damn thats a nice looking marker... hope i can find myself a nice looking k frame for a decent price
here is a wonderful link for you:

the PGPOG, all you need to know how to care and feed your PGP. Its easy to tell if its old style valve and new cart valve. Remove the RVA and look in the back of the marker. If you see a pin with a square indent around it, then thats old style, and you need a valve tool to remove it. Palmers has them for 20 bucks. If its a smooth face with a pin in it and a small hole at 3 o'clock, then its a cart valve. Very easy to remove, just a 12 gram and a wood dowel after you remove the bolt and grip frame.
K-frames can be had at air soldier products, or direct from Sergi at sergisonmachine.net
I did all the work on that PGP myself, as well as re-working a KP that was brutally taken from stock class to direct feed. Its stock class again, but im re-doing the side tube feed again with a better piece of brass. I have also rolled on PMI-1 so it looks like a double barrel now, even though its a single barrel. I have alo side tubed 1 other PMI-1 and another in the works.

i asked dude I'm getting it from... its a new style valve... which is nice... i hate buying job specific tools... hard to justify the money when i probably would have only needed it a couple times... thanks for the link... that site seems to have all the info id ever need to know... this pgp is making me miss my p68-sc really really bad... i may have to track one down again here in the near future
Just get a pgp-2 and do something to it to make it your own. It should be easy to find one. Also, you can do your own "tune" to it too. There is a post on MCB on it, as far as what Palmers does to them that is.
I have plans for a P68 SC if I ever come across one..........
