I know what your thinking, not another capture the Flag Game. Well it is but, I've added an "S" to this Game. Some of you Gamers might have played this Game on line as I have in Delta-Force2. I have come up with a way to play it in the woods or bunker field. This Game will help bring back the snipers who seem to be disappearing from other scenario games, anyway I hope I can explain the Game without using arm gestures but I'll try.
First of all you have two bases, say Red Base and Yellow Base, and 12 survey flags 6 of each matching color of Base. The Flags will be marked with a number 1-6 along with thier Flag Stand (orange cones) also numbered 1-6. Now the Red' Flags will be placed in the Yellows side of mid-field and visa-versa for the Yellows. Numbers 1-3 will be placed and spread out just past each others Mid-Field. 4 & 5 spread out and placed halfway to the opponants Base. Flag 1 will be placed some where near the Base.
Now this is where the officiating comes in. There is needed of a Field Judge, he is in charge of the Flags placement and return to the proper corrisponding number and color Flag Cone. Three Refs, one in each Base to check Flag Carrier for hits before being allowed to hang Flag. One roaming the field for other types of infractions that may occur.
Now how the Game is played. Say maybe a 2 hour Game or longer.
All players start from thier Bases, when the Game starts its up to the players on how they will recover thier own Flags or protect the opposing team from getting thier own. (Snipers work well here). Lets say you've managed to get your number 3 Flag and your on your way back to your Base happy and smiling when suddenly your hit, yes killed, you simply announce your HIT! thus spearing the Flag to the ground and walking off back to your Base to Re-Spawn after checking in and having another go at getting that Flag you left behind. But when you get back the Flag is gone! One of three things could of happened to it, either the person that shot you picked it up to return it to its proper cone or one of your Teammates grabbed it for you and has it back at your Base or the Field Judge Found it and replaced to its proper cone. Thats right, any unattended Flags standing or fallen down will automatically be returned to its Flag Stand if the Field Judge finds it. The only time you can touch your opposing Teams Flag is to return it as quickly as possible (no concealment please, if a ref sees you or finds a concealed flag on you, you will be gently removed from that Game. Refs will return infractioned Flags to the Field Judge for replacement. You also may not conceal your own Flag while returning it to your Base. Live players can Pass Flags (either color) to other live Teammates to carry on to their objective. Dead Players cannot report to the where abouts of a Flag. At the End of Game the Base with the most Hung Flags wins.
I hope I covered every thing, but if theres ?'s please ask I'll have the answer.
I wanted to introduce this Game to a Pumps only Game this last year but did'nt get the chance. I'll be playing it this winter though to work out the bugs if any. What do you think? Let me know./AKA
