Hey all,
I'm sure some of you have seen the FPS (First Person Shooter) aspect clips online, and was wondering if any of you have filmed any of these yourselves.

If so, please let me know what your set-up is... I'm looking into getting some footage while playing, instead of just taping the action.

Please include the DVR/Camcorder of choice, and whatever else you may be using. Also, if you know of any tips or tricks for better filming, let me know.

Thanks!

I use the Samsung Sport SC-X205L with a 2G card.

I use a helmetcam system similar to the one Rob "Tyger" used for his original FPS paintball films.

Helmet Camera.com (http://www.helmetcamera.com)

The camera is protected from harm by the case that mounts onto the helmet/mask surface. The camera wires run to a mini dvr recorder (also found on their site) that records footage onto an SD card.

If you dont mind me asking Thalion, whats a set up like yours cost?

I use the same camera set up as thalion does, it ran with everything needed about 500 for everything (mic, dvr, camera, camera protector, charger, etc)

Depends on which camera resolution you choose. Shaman has a good estimate of $500.

Shaman mentioned the mic separately, but my rig has the mic in-line (on the wire that goes from the camera to the dvr).

I've got the same carmera as Darrin has pictured above. I've made quite a few videos.
