I had a great day at MN Pro Paintball today, my first time there and really enjoyed it. Had some issues with the premium paint, but when you just deal with what it was and get on with it, it turned in to a great day. Thanks Dead Squad and MN Pro Paintball.
ps. I just uploaded the few I took and posted in the photos section

I agree, it was an awesome day of paintball. I can't believe we raised so much money too! A big thanks to Dead Squad for reffing, to MN Pro for the awesome field, and to Chunk and Krutsie our awesome generals. I can't believe there were so many walk ons too, that is just amazing. I know i had fun, and I think most other people did too. Also thanks Ravenwood for the pics and Brando's coming soon, I am definately looking forward to seeing them!

After suggestions from Sponsored Teams on both sides, Chunk and I jointly desided that the most valuable team "MVT" award should be awarded to the "Walk-ons". the MVT banners will be displayed at MN Pro Paintballs rental shop. Well done everyone.
I will give my thankyou's in the Am.

I'm not going to post too much tonight because we had a little celebration afterwords and I don't want to ramble. I would like to say thank you very much to everyone who came out and made this game as great as it was. I have to say that I had an incredible amount of fun reffing this game and I would do unspeakable things to be able to play in it. I just hope you guys had as much fun as I did. Now onto the most important part of the game, the reason we all came. We were able to raise over $16,000 for Childrens!!!!! That's around $2,000 more than last year! Thank you again to everyone, I saw honest playing all day long and we had very few problems. You guy's made our job very easy. More to come tomorrow.

As General of the Resistance I have alot of people to thank.
Dead Squad- You guys put on a awesome event, everything went flawlessly. The refs were top knotch.

Chuck: It was an honor going head to head with ya. You Covanant forces where pounding on us all day. I saw the Wild bunch,Bunkar Busters and so many more pounding on my door all day.

Ok Resistance:::
Team numbers were down ,I wont lie. The walk ons were the best I've ever seen.

fist off:
Woodland Security: LastChance, Merlin, Iceman, Gramps, DarkStorm, Wicker, Standard, and C4 Explosives. You guys were out there all day helping run charges and helping me lead, to that I say "Thankyou" I'm proud of you guys.

Mn Militia: Ravenwood brought a friend but was the only Mn Militia Member there and he was one of my major tools in defending,In second stage I sent him back for LAW rounds. When he go back there I told him to bring the medic flag also. I gave him the option to grab a young kid to run back for him. He said, "No Sir".needless to say he got back in time to get me the reisertion flag and even blew up the tank with his law rounds.
His Havok was top knotch and got rid of the tank in our final battle. Great work Mate. Definately "Malitia of One"

Pelicans: There were four or five pelicans. I saw them all day, every where I went. I physically saw AKA take two bases under fire in the wide open. Not bad for an old man.LOL. Thankyou AKA for all your front line leading and hard work.

Mn Mayhem: You guys played borterline "Crazy" where do I start. You were there for me all day. The main thing I remember is dressing Devin Peterson up as a Terminator. In the final stage you blew a hole in there defence and Mayhem and about 40 others surrounded Generals HQ and caused the Game to end early. Great Job Guys.

Farmland: Foster,You truely were an army of One. great work.

To the young man "stalock"or something like that. you roled with WS last year and helped us out this year also. great work, nothing like having a local guild you around.

Walk On's: There were a few teams I never heard of that helped all day. to the pink Jersey Pimp Daddy's ,Great work. There were so many I know I wont get them all. You guys Got MVT because you deserved it.

In Conslussion: There was some awesome fire fights and Dead Squad did an awesome job utillizing the great field at MN Pro Paintball and there were no bottle necks. Great reffing and very little confussion. I loved the Idea the General had to be mobile. Nice touch. Chunk and the Covanant fought hard all day.All the teams on both sides played honorable.
Yes. this was my first time as General and I got my first win. I am exited but I didn't do it."every person on the resistance put in their effort. for that I say "THANKYOU"

To quote Foster of Farmland from the pre-game thread...
Let's not sweat the details
1) raise $ for kids
2) shoot each other
3) see # 2

...Mission Accomplished!

The weather was perfect, the field was great, and the game-play (and reffing) was fair. I had a lot of fun, and have many memorable moments. This was only my 4th big game, but was probably the most fun one yet, regardless of the outcome! (but having been on the winning side just made my grin that much bigger):)

Thanks to the Dead Squad, MN Pro Paintball, the Generals, and everyone else whose efforts allowed me to have so much fun for such a good cause!!applaus:)

Ravenwood, yes RPS Premium is fairly fragile paint and if your gun is hard on paint your going to get breaks. That's why we sell two grades of paint.

Kyle, I'll be sure to look for your camera when I get back to the field and to get it back to you if it turns up.

Cutstep, I'm not certain on the exact number of players we had this year yet. I believe it was somewhere over 300.

Ben and Joel, great job guys. I would say that you guys made the day for all those walk on players that waited in long lines to sign the MVT banners. They will be displayed at the field for a long time to come.

I was a little off earlier when I said we took in about $2,000 more than last year. It was actually close to $4,000 more than last year. Last year we took in $12,612 and this year it was $16,464. I would call the game a great success, thank you to everyone who made it out.

Alright I have finally had a chance to sit down and not have to do anything on the internet. All I have been doing is upload upload upload lol.

Well it was just a beautiful day to play paintball. I was worried that with the temperature people might start getting a little cranky on the field but that wasn't the case at all yesterday.

Joel Congrats with your first win.
Chunk You lead you guys very well. Your walk on players were amazing and I wittnessed them making charges at my guys. I have never seen that before it was awesome.

Dead Squad The change between last years game and this years game was extremely impressive. I heard all my guys say how much fun the game was. The bottle necks were gone Refs were helpful. (LOL there was some confusion but it was straightened out right away) I was all smiles yesterday. I personally don't like attack and defend games but this one I never ever got bored in it was really really fun. I was really worried we would be standing around all day waiting for something to happen NOPE not at all.

I noticed Jeremy mentioned some trouble with the paint. We had 1 case that was having troubles making it out of the 09s on the team. I didn't have any problems with it. Most likely a bad batch.... Paint was awesome haven't shot premium in a long, long time.

And to all you walk ons that might read this....
You guys are fantastic paintball players you really are. Give yourself a pat on the back. I was just blown away at some of the kids out there. They were awesome.

Great day, great game, I am glad to have made the trip and played a new (to me) field.

#1 I need to echo the “walk on” comments. I hate the term “walk-on” & “Nubie” but at least everyone knows what it means. I was happy to see a lot of young “non-outfitted” kids at the game.

I was registered for the BLUE team and was switched to the RED team. After talking to the staff they let me switch back to BLUE since I had been asked to the game by Joel.
While walking back to the car to get ready for the 1st insertion I walked by a guy checking the mask straps on 3 young (11-12 year old) players in rental gear. I stopped and asked if he needed any help & took a quick look over the masks and markers.
As the boys walked away to load the hoppers, I asked Dad if the boys had ever played before… He said No & looked nervous.

I decided to switch back to RED and run with those boys!!!!!

It has been a long time since I played like this, running up to a group of renter kids and yelling “Are you guys ready for the adventure of a lifetime?!!!” It proves something that I have always believed; when you have no idea what you CAN NOT do…You can do anything! These guys were scared, brave, excited, macho & high all at the same time. They called out crazy tactics, screamed for cover fire, took point on ambush & gave me one of the best games in a long time! Lets not forget people; these players are ALWAYS there…sometimes they just do not get noticed.

All in all I had a great time, I love attack defend & I LOVE pine trees!

On the hour and a half drive home I had some time to think about the game. Something came to mind…

What is it we do on these Sundays?
Simply put, we get to (if just for a few moments) pretend that life has no value!
Think about it, we run to our “death” knowing a new life is just a walk to the base away. We Mow, Kill, Zip, Stitch & eliminate those who appose us… knowing that they will get a chance to live again.

At the same time we raise money to help preserve the most valuable thing anyone has…
LIFE!

Funny Eh?

Thanks MNPro & DeadSquad
I will be there for the next one and hope to bring my Son (he will be almost 11) who spent over 3 years in the care of Children’s Hospital for leukemia treatment.

Awesome game, glad to hear we raised so much cash!

I also thought the walk-ons did great work, they really listened to the guys with radios and played their hearts out.

For me, I never played here so it was like fighting in foreign lands, and while I helped hold/capp'ed bases, got a lot of kills, and helped on missions the best part was playing on a large team that used a lot of teamwork and for that the walk-on's contributed big-time. The MNPro field regulars were great to play with and I felt welcome on their turf.

Dead Squad I thought the Stage action was sweet once everyone got a handle on it, what a great way to run a scenario, good stuff!

Thank you to all who came out to play paintball to raise money for an outstanding cause. Thank you to Dead Squad for putting the time and effort in to the game and to MNpro staff and supporters.

Congratulations to Joel on his first command. The resistance proved to be to great a force. Great sportsmanship and play from your teams. I hope that you take up the mantel of command again.

Thank you to all the teams and players who played for me. I was pretty amazed that there was so much energy through out the whole day, things never got stale and players played hard all day.

I want to mention the Bunker Busters, who were outstanding, doing what ever I needed including taking out tanks and terminators with football throws.

Thank you to Wild Bunch for coming to support this game and me. I will hope to be back next year as a player to see what you have in store for us.

Ps- well put Foster.

I agree with everyones posts about the Game, there's no Bull, the Game was fun and exciting to be part of.
Fun Format, good thing some of us pre-read the Game rules, I found many were unsure what to do or where to go, it's all good, it gave me a job to do and enjoyed it.
I could'nt believe how many locals there remembered me from last year, what a Great crowd that play at Mn. Pro.
Thanks Dead Squad Team Members for throwing such a Great Charity Event once again. Nice to see so many familiar faces there once again.
To this years Generals; Chunk & Krutsie, Good work on all your prep work and Game Day Roles. Congrats to Krutsie for the Resistance Win! this Year. Congrats to all the MVT winners both sides-they deserve the recognition from all of us that play this Game.:)
Thanks to Mn.Pro Paintball for opening your field up for this event and raising all that money for the Childrens Hospitals Network, we appreciate all the work that goes into an event like this for us Paintballers to enjoy the Game we play.
I hope to see us all do this again next year, for it is Growing!;)/AKA

This was the first game at MN Pro for me, and I had a blast. Such a fun game to play at. And the field was really well laid out in my opinion.

I will definately be back next year for this game, which makes me really regret not going last year. Keep up the good work guys!
